A Deserved ‘Moment of Truth’ for Public Schools as a Record Number of Parents Opt Out

Playing the Race Card on Larry Elder. The Democrat/liberal media race hustle is an ugly business.

Engaging in shameful duplicity regarding crime and policing, the media attempt to portray the California gubernatorial candidate as anti-black.

Heather Mac Donald:

“…Elder also rejects the charge that white civilians are gunning down blacks, as LeBron James maintained in a tweet during the George Floyd riots: “We are literally hunted everyday, every time we step outside the comfort of our homes.” Elder has a different take. If a “young black man is eight times more likely to be killed by another young black man than [by] a young white man,” Elder told the Orange County Republicans, then “systemic racism is not the problem.”

Such statements are anathema to the establishment Left, deeply invested as it is in the idea that blacks have little agency in the face of ubiquitous white racism. Few subjects are more taboo in elite discourse than the elevated rate of crime among blacks, as it suggests cultural pathologies that—at the very least—complicate the victim narrative. To the Left, black crime is little more than a racist fictionLos Angeles Times columnist Jean Guerrero claims that the crime statistics Elder has cited “over the decades to support his views and policy proposals are misleading, if not outright false, casting Black people as unusually crime-prone.” Black people are not “more inclined toward violent crimes,” nor do blacks “disproportionately victimize whites,” Guerrero wrote, citing Columbia law professor Jeffrey Fagan and other criminal experts. (Fagan was the plaintiff’s expert in a trilogy of lawsuits against the New York Police Department in the 2010s.) Fellow Times columnist Erika Smith sneered that Elder “keeps trotting out statistics that purport to show that Black people are particularly prone to murdering one another.”

Unfortunately for Elder’s critics, the statistics showing vastly disproportionate rates of black crime and victimization come from some of the Left’s favorite sources. CDC data show that in 2015, for example, the homicide victimization rate for blacks aged 10–34 (37.5 per 100,000) was 13 times the rate for whites (2.9 per 100,000). That disparity is undoubtedly much greater now, given the record-breaking increase in homicides since the George Floyd riots—an increase disproportionately affecting blacks.

Those black victims of homicide are not being killed by cops or whites. They are being killed by other blacks. In Los Angeles, blacks this year have committed 46 percent of homicides whose offender is known, even though they are just 9 percent of the Los Angeles population. Whites make up 28 percent of the Los Angeles population but have committed 4 percent of homicides, mostly involving domestic violence. These data, reported by the Los Angeles Times, mean that a black Angeleno is 35 times more likely to commit a homicide than a white Angeleno. Homicide data are the gold standard for crime statistics. Alas for Jeffrey Fagan and the Los Angeles Times’s other experts, the statistical conclusion that blacks are “more inclined toward violent crimes” is indisputable.

What about the claim that blacks don’t “disproportionately victimize whites”? In 2019, according to a Bureau of Justice Statistics survey of criminal victimization, blacks committed 127,350 non-lethal violent crimes against whites, while whites committed 17,690 non-lethal violent crimes against blacks. In other words, blacks commit 88 percent of all interracial violence between blacks and whites.

Crime apologists argue that such disproportions are inevitable because there are so many whites in the U.S. But in cities where racial ratios are more commensurate, the amount of white-on-black violence remains negligible…”

Biden Administration mismanagement of the Afghanistan withdrawal was worse than originally reported.

The remarkable incompetence of the Biden Administration. Hard to believe. Maybe more correctly called willful negligence. If you can’t ship it out, destroy it where it stands. The biggest issue in my opinion is the complete lack of accountability.

The science is clear on natural immunity. Can our “scientists” responsible for national policy adapt, or is our national policy based on politics?

Natural Immunity for the WIN! Israel Study Suggests COVID-19 Vaccine and Mitigation Policies Should Change Now

“…The debate that never should have started is over. Thankfully, one nation in the world recognized natural immunity to COVID-19 in their vaccine program and has the data to force the issue in other countries. All Israelis are required to enroll in one of four national health funds. Maccabi Healthcare Services (MHS) covers 26% of the population and maintains centralized electronic medical records, which researchers anonymized and analyzed.

Israel used the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine exclusively in their national vaccination program. When it implemented a vaccine passport program, the previously infected were provided with a passport and excluded from the vaccination push. Later, these individuals were allowed to receive one dose of the vaccine if they chose to, but it was not required to maintain their passports.

The preprint study includes over 700,000 Israelis in a matched cohort methodology. It includes MHS members 16 years and older who were vaccinated or had a documented SARS-CoV-2 infection before February 28, 2021. It compared those who were vaccinated and never infected, the recovered, and those who opted to take the single vaccine dose. The rich data set includes vaccination with dates, diagnosed infections, symptom profiles, hospitalizations, and deaths. Researchers evaluated four outcomes: documented RT-PCR confirmed SARS-CoV-2 disease, COVID-19, COVID-19-related hospitalization, and death.

After adjusting for comorbidities, there was a 13-fold increased risk for a breakthrough infection following vaccination instead of reinfection after recovery. The vaccinated subjects had a 27-fold increased risk for symptomatic COVID-19 than the previously recovered. There were eight hospitalized patients among the vaccinated and one among the recovered cohort. Thankfully, there were no deaths.

When researchers compared the recovered with and without a single vaccine dose, the differences were slight. Out of 14,029 subjects, the unvaccinated experienced 37 positive tests while those with a single dose had 20. Symptomatic disease occurred in 16 patients who received a single dose and 23 of their unvaccinated counterpoints. The increased risk for those without the vaccine is less than one-fold. No one died of COVID-19.

With such a large study population, these findings should have immediate implications for public policy.

Any city, employer, or educational institution requiring individuals to get vaccinated should amend their policy immediately to allow for proof of infection or immunity as acceptable. Any institution with mask mandates that apply only to the unvaccinated must amend them to recognize recovered individuals. Employees, students, and residents should insist…”

The ugly Democrat politics of the “Lego Insurrection” appear to be crumbling. Democrats are desperate to keep them alive.

Bad Words and Desperation: Democrats Flail to Keep January 6 Relevant

“…As Joe Biden fubars his way through the Afghanistan evacuation, mumbling through press briefings like a drunken stroke victim, leftists are trying ever more desperately to steer America’s attention to something other than Biden wetting himself at the presidential podium. Invariably, that “something else” is January 6.

Pelosi found a BLM-loving Capitol cop who was willing to testify about January 6 and squirt tears when recalling how Trumpsters “called him racists names.”

A few weeks later, bootlicker Lester Holt gave a softball interview to Capitol Police Lt. Michael Byrd, who vaingloriously claimed he “saved countless lives” when he fired his gun through a barricaded door and killed an unarmed mom, Ashli Babbitt. Byrd’s compadres at the Capitol Police Dept. exonerated him, twice.

In Holt’s fawning interview, Byrd also turns on the waterworks and, with Holt’s prodding, claims he was called “racist names” by people in the aftermath of Babbitt’s death.

Rather than pack it in and look for a new distraction, or focus on REAL terrorists killing American soldiers in Afghanistan, Nancy Pelosi clings to January 6 like an alien face-hugger. Now, in a new and frankly embarrassing low, seven Capitol cops are suing President Trump over the January 6 protest turned mini-riot.

From the text of the lawsuit:

“Because of Defendants’ unlawful actions, Plaintiffs were violently assaulted, spat on, tear-gassed, bear-sprayed, subjected to racial slurs and epithets, and put in fear for their lives. Plaintiffs’ injuries, which Defendants caused, persist to this day.”

“Racial slurs and epithets, and put in fear for their lives” is hysterical. It shows the Democrats are still on their crazed mission to prove Trump supporters are racists goobers, and suggests well-armed riot cops can’t take being called bad names. Furthermore, as a Trump supporter, can I still drink my coffee black or should I call it “oppressed”?

The lawsuit is not only going after Trump, it also targets his campaign, adviser Roger Stone, a group called “Stop the Steal,” the Oath Keepers, and the Proud Boys.

The U.S. Supreme Court would not allow a police officer who suffered a brain injury, a loss of teeth, and a broken jaw, all resulting from a brick thrown by BLM rioters, to sue BLM. This was a fortunate decision for the Marxist BLM co-founder Patrisse Cullors, who appears to be collecting houses like Beanie Babies. Cullors recently left BLM when her compadres wanted to know where she got the mad stacks to pay for five mansions.

If a cop who was injured so severely that he sustained brain damage can’t sue BLM, what are the odds the seven Capitol cops will win their lawsuit regarding pepper spray and naughty names? Pretty good. The left takes care of their own.

No word on whether or not Capitol cops will sue the Nation of Islam over the murder of their friend, Officer William Evans, who was killed by vehicular homicide in April 2021 by Nation of Islam devotee Noah Green.

Despite Vampira Nancy Pelosi’s best efforts, no one is buying her spectacle. Everyone paying attention knows a circus when they smell it.

To make Nancy’s job even harder, and frankly more shameful, the FBI quietly admitted what we’ve known all along: January 6 wasn’t a planned insurrection. Tens of thousands of people showed up to topple the most powerful nation in history but forgot their guns? Of the 600 or so arrested, no one has been charged with sedition.

In a move that redefines the word “ghoul,” leftists are trying to attribute the suicides of four Capitol police officers who have taken their lives since January 6 directly to the events of that day.

A retired detective from New Jersey with a background in law enforcement suicide prevention recently told me that police suicides are typically caused by “cumulative stress,” not one bad day. The Capitol riots might have been the “straw that broke the camel’s back” on a job that is traditionally brutal.

He also had some advice for people who want to pursue a career in law enforcement,

“Frankly, if your feelings are hurt by people calling you names, you need to find a new line of work or grow a spine,” my detective friend said. “It comes with the job and every police officer has been called lousy, hurtful names. It’s not right but it’s the reality of the job.”…”

Biden in danger of a polling “free fall.”

Weekly Biden Report Card: Biden in danger of a ‘free fall’

“…Surging inflation and the chaos and deaths of 13 U.S. troops in Afghanistan produced a second horrible week for President Joe Biden and more poor-to-failing grades in our Weekly White House Report Card.

At the end of the week, there was a slight recovery when the Pentagon struck at a likely Islamic State planner of Thursday’s suicide attack at Kabul’s airport that killed the Americans and injured nearly 200. Also, Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell reiterated that high inflation will not last.

But by then, the damage had been done, and the week was dominated by the struggles in Afghanistan.

Conservative analyst Jed Babbin, grading an “F,” judged simply, “Biden lied and Americans died. There’s nothing else to say.”

Democratic pollster John Zogby followed last week’s “F” with a “D” this week and said that the president is in danger of a polling “free fall.”…”

Paleo Republicans have been very disappointing. Can Trump Republicans work with them? Yes. Eyes open, aware, we must work with them.

How The GOP Committed Suicide Trying to Stop Trump

America Has Never Been Closer to Uni-Party Rule

Emerald Robinson:

“…When did the GOP cease to be a functioning party? When was the exact moment that you knew the GOP establishment stands for nothing and stands against nothing?

For many, this became apparent in the awful months immediately after Election Day 2020, of course, when a steady stream of GOP leaders took to the airwaves to let their voters know that “the most secure election in history” had just taken place.

For others, it was the Second Impeachment of Citizen Trump — a symbolic exercise that only served to destroy the political career of Mitch McConnell, and raze his reputation as the bluegrass Machiavelli of our times.

McConnell wanted Trump convicted, that’s for sure. He pushed that sham until it was clear that he didn’t have the votes. The GOP establishment wanted Trump dead and buried to clear the way for Their People in 2024. At the 11th hour, McConnell realized that he didn’t have the votes and so he told his Republican colleagues: he would no longer vote to convict President Trump. The entire pointless exercise had only served to enrage the GOP base. This time there was no ground cover to hide his double-dealing. The Turtle had been caught. This was his show.

Two months earlier, Mitch had told Americans that he would never be bullied into giving them any more stimulus money for COVID — one week after he told Americans that he was prepared to give the rest of the world $700 billion. Why was McConnell unable to provide some fiscal relief for working class Americans? (After all, not everybody was lucky enough to marry the daughter of a Chinese shipping tycoon who happened to leave you between $5million and $25 million as a personal gift.) It seemed suddenly obvious that The Turtle was not actually a political genius. What was he doing? He seemed to be leading a revolt of GOP politicians against their own voters.

McConnell wasn’t the only one who recently drove himself off the proverbial cliff like Thelma & Louise. Look at how many of them bought the January 6th insurrection story hook, line, and sinker! Did they know it was a fabricated FBI plot? Probably. Did they care how many American citizens would be jailed without being charged illegally for months? Not in the slightest. It’s not just Romney, Sasse, Murkowski, Collins, and the usual cast of “useful idiots” for the Democrat Party either. It’s Lindsey Graham telling you that he’s “getting to the bottom of things” every night on cable TV for five years. It’s Kevin McCarthy getting caught renting rooms at the Frank Luntz Day Camp for Future OxyContin Lobbyists after being forced to remove the unpopular neocon gasbag Liz Cheney from GOP leadership even though McCarthy was the one who had elevated her in the first place. You simply can’t quantify that kind of stupidity.

You would think that shame or self-preservation would put a stop to the self-humiliation that these people indulge in almost daily. But you would be wrong. Since that second impeachment farce, the situation has actually gotten much worse. It’s now clear that the GOP is unable to function even as an opposition party in the minority. This became abundantly clear during the rushed Senate confirmations of Biden’s cabinet nominees.

First, the GOP failed to halt the nomination of that despicable fraud, the transgender Dr. Rachel Levine to HHS. Only Senator Rand Paul, to his great credit, attacked Levine for pushing gender reassignment for minors. (When I asked Senator Paul why he was the only Republican to do so, he told me that most of his colleagues were frightened of being called “transphobic” by the press.) Then the GOP failed to halt — and in fact seemed to embrace — the nomination of Merrick Garland to be Attorney General at the Department of Justice.

For most the coup de grace was watching every Republican on the Senate Judiciary Committee vote to confirm Lisa Monaco as deputy Attorney General — even though she was deeply tied to the disgraced FBI Director Bob Mueller.

It’s not particularly important why the GOP did next to nothing to block (or even delay) the most radical and unqualified people (Becerra, Levine, Gupta) that the Biden Administration nominated for high government positions. It’s more important to recall that the GOP establishment put up a lot more resistance to President Trump’s nominations for high government positions.

This, of course, leads us to an obvious question: what does the GOP stand for? Apparently it now stands for the enthusiastic endorsement of its ideological opponents who want to prosecute and harass Republican voters aggressively, politicize intelligence for political ends, and push hormone blockers on children without parental consent. In other words, the GOP wants to enact the Democrats’ entire agenda — all the way down to the child abuse.

What we’re witnessing right now in America is the two-party system collapse into a one-party system. On all the important issues in America like vaccines, lockdowns, spending bills, fake insurrections, big tech censorship, and election reform there’s no meaningful difference between the two parties. There’s just a different set of talking points.

The GOP has basically committed a kind of ideological suicide in its push to oust Trump and his allies from the party…”
