THE CUMBRE VIEJA VOLCANO ON SPAIN’S LA PALMA ISLAND CONTINUES TO SPEW LAVA AND ASH, WITH THE ERUPTION SHOWING FEW SIGNS OF ABATING SINCE IT BEGAN ON SEPTEMBER 19. SO FAR IT’S DESTROYED SOME 2,000 BUILDINGS AND FORCED THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE TO LEAVE THEIR HOMES.

Sweden Covid vaccine study – “Protection from infection below 50% after 4 months. No protection after 7 months (Pfizer). AstraZeneca wanes faster, becomes negative. Protection against severe outcome 42% after 6 months.

Effectiveness of Covid-19 Vaccination

“…Findings: Vaccine effectiveness of BNT162b2 against infection waned progressively from 92% (95% CI, 92-93, P<0·001) at day 15-30 to 47% (95% CI, 39-55, P<0·001) at day 121-180, and from day 211 and onwards no effectiveness could be detected (23%; 95% CI, -2-41, P=0·07). The effectiveness waned slightly slower for mRNA-1273, being estimated to 59% (95% CI, 18-79) from day 181 and onwards. In contrast, effectiveness of ChAdOx1 nCoV-19 was generally lower and waned faster, with no effectiveness detected from day 121 and onwards (-19%, 95% CI, -97-28), whereas effectiveness from heterologous ChAdOx1 nCoV-19 / mRNA was maintained from 121 days and onwards (66%; 95% CI, 41-80). Overall, vaccine effectiveness was lower and waned faster among men and older individuals. For the outcome severe Covid-19, effectiveness waned from 89% (95% CI, 82-93, P<0·001) at day 15-30 to 42% (95% CI, -35-75, P=0·21) from day 181 and onwards, with sensitivity analyses showing notable waning among men, older frail individuals, and individuals with comorbidities.

Interpretation: Vaccine effectiveness against symptomatic Covid-19 infection wanes progressively over time across all subgroups, but at different rate according to type of vaccine, and faster for men and older frail individuals. The effectiveness against severe illness seems to remain high through 9 months, although not for men, older frail individuals, and individuals with comorbidities. This strengthens the evidence-based rationale for administration of a third booster dose…”

Fauci is a liar. He should be relieved of his duties and investigated for lying to congress and funding the Chinese laboratory.

Poll: Fauci lied, resign

“…Nearly half the nation believes that COVID-19 czar Anthony Fauci lied about funding virus testing in China, and almost as many want him dumped from the post he’s held for 37 years.

In the latest Rasmussen Reports survey, 49% said he has not told the truth about U.S. funding for “gain-of-function” research.

When asked if he should be forced to resign as director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, 46% said yes and 40% said no.

The survey followed the recent release of a memo suggesting the United States supported and funded virus testing in China, where it is believed COVID-19 started or was developed.

It prompted a new round of calls, led by Sen. Rand Paul, to fire Fauci, beloved by his fans but despised by critics of mask and vaccine mandates.

Rasmussen said the release of the National Institutes of Health memo that appeared to contradict Fauci’s denial that federal funds had been used to fund controversial research in a Chinese laboratory cut into his credibility.

“The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that only 33% of likely U.S. voters believe Fauci has told the truth about U.S. government funding for gain-of-function virus research. That’s a decline from June, when 40% believed Fauci had told the truth,” the analysis said.

As with all polls about Fauci, partisanship plays a role. For example, he remains popular among Democrats. Only 24% believe he should be ousted.

But among Republicans, 67% want him forced to resign…”

Loudoun County School Board are liars and lefty ideologues that will do anything to achieve their political goals. Students mean nothing to them unless the students are black, gay, transgender, etc. learning a normal curricula is not important.

Biden’s solution for congested ports is not intended to solve the problem it is intended to make it invisible to reduce negative press. It is the worst kind of political solution.

Biden hopes fines on lingering cargo containers ease congestion at major U.S. ports

    • The Biden administration is hopeful new fines imposed on carriers at the nation’s busiest port complex will ease the intensifying logjam of cargo ships.
    • The twin ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach will charge carriers $100 per day for each container lingering past a given timeline starting Nov. 1.
    • The nation’s knotted supply chain is bearing the brunt of surging consumer demand, high transportation expenses, crippling labor shortages, overseas manufacturing delays, trade policies and inflation.

Diversity was never about students. This is just another liberal scam…

Black and Latino students did worse in schools with ‘diversity officers’: study

“…I hope you’re sitting down, because otherwise the following news might send you to the fainting couch quicker than a Victorian lady who has just overheard someone say the word “knickers.” A new study says that putting a high-paid diversity bureaucrat on the school payroll may actually make things worse for black and Latino students.

No, that sound you’re hearing is not a nationwide cicada infestation: That’s just 10,000 heads being scratched in school administrators’ offices. You mean, all those diversity hucksters who said we could close racial gaps by hiring lavishly paid diversity hucksters were just in it for themselves?

Yeah, and you should think about feeding the shredder with all of those Ibram X. Kendi and Robin DiAngelo books about how you should blow $15,000 or so to get someone like Kendi or DiAngelo to lecture you on white privilege. But only if you actually care about improving the fortunes of underprivileged minorities rather than assuaging the guilt of white people by throwing money away.

An empirical study by the Heritage Foundation that analyzed data in 554 districts teaching 22.5 million students found that, now that chief diversity officers (CDOs) have been hired by virtually every college campus, 79 percent of the largest K-12 districts have hired such officers as well, and even rural districts are taking them on at a fast clip. Okay, so how is that working out? Districts with CDOs have greater achievement gaps between rich and poor, between white and black, and between white and Latino students.

“In districts without a CDO,” reports Heritage, “the average black student is 1.9 grade levels behind the average white student on standardized test results.” With CDOs, that gap grows to 2.4 grade levels. The same pattern emerges when comparing white and Latino students, although the gaps are smaller…”
