If Congress were a US family, they'd be putting another $2,400 on the credit card each month despite owing almost $600,000 and earning one-eighth that 🤯 https://t.co/hK00Fisq6b

“…Internal investigation released during Francesca Gino’s legal proceedings against Harvard Business School. Francesca Gino is pursuing a $25 million lawsuit against the Harvard Business School and the data sleuths who uncovered issues with her work…”

“…After reviewing the available evidence and interviewing Professor Gino and several witnesses, the Investigation Committee has determined, by a preponderance of the evidence, that Professor Gino significantly departed from accepted practices of the relevant research community and committed research misconduct intentionally, knowingly, or recklessly, with regard to all five allegations examined herein,” according to the report. The panel went on to conclude that the “severity of the research misconduct” called for “appropriately severe institutional action.” It recommended that HBS Dean Srikant Datar “consider placing Professor Gino immediately on an unpaid leave and initiating steps to termination of employment.”…”
Black Americans vote Democrat in numbers usually only seen in authoritarian countries. I have always thought that this is a great mistake. Democrats have abused this trust over and over. In some areas this has resulted in multi-decadal institutional failure – Chicago, Baltimore, etc. Failure has become an accepted way of life in these communities and local folks vote for the same failing policies and politicians year after year.
“…Three years ago, the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights issued a report on maternal mortality that claimed, among other absurdities, that maternal mortality rates had worsened in the United States over the last 30 years, quoting with approval a witness who said the rates were up a whopping 50% in just a generation (as well as other alarming, but obviously incorrect statistics).
I wrote a dissent and pointed out that, in reality, this so-called “increase” was almost certainly an artifact of a significant change in the way deaths were classified. This change had been phased in over a number of years. It required the deaths of women who had been recently pregnant to be looked at more closely to see if the pregnancy might have been a contributing factor.
A new study published in the American Journal of Obstetrics & Gynecology shows that I was right. It was obvious. But obvious things that don’t fit the Commission’s narrative get ignored.
The more interesting (and true!) story here is how maternal deaths are down 99% since about 1900. Thanks go to Alexander Fleming (penicillin), Vincent du Vigneaud (oxytocin), researchers at Merck & Co. (methyldopa), and other physicians and researchers who have furthered our knowledge over the course of almost 125 years. May that progress ever continue…”
Yes, I got mendacity from that judge in the Fani case. I like the word.
“…Blaming Racism: “We also cannot ignore the actions of domestic extremists, including white nationalists and white supremacists who have violently attacked electrical grids, to stoke chaos and fear,” Rep. Cori Bush, D-Crazy Town said…”

Jonathan Turley reacts to Judge McAfee's ruling that Fani either recuse herself or remove lover Nathan Wade from the case:

Our justice system is corrupt.
“…That sets up an appeal, of course, based on the factual record that McAfee established in this order. And one has to wonder whether that is McAfee’s intent — to punt this to the state appellate court rather than risk the ire of Fulton County voters by disqualifying Willis. Declare her guilty, fail to act, and let the next set of judges with more political insulation deal with the issue themselves. Or maybe even more quickly, letting the Georgia State Bar and the Attorney General deal with the “odor of mendacity” and pre-empt the whole issue by suspending Willis’ law license…”
So, if I have this right, Fulton County Judge Scott McAfee decided to pull a James Comey, Robert Mueller, and Robert Hur:
Write a ruling saying Fani Willis and Nathan Wade are guilty as hell, have no ethics, and aren't good role models….BUT Fani can stay
