The history of man on Earth is replete with stories of this kind repeated over and over in time and in all areas that man occupied. It is a failure of education that young people today do not understand that only a few hundred years ago, maybe a thousand years ago, there were no laws, no governments, no universally understood norms, no grocery stores, no television or internet or radio. People lived by their wits. Defended their homes with their lives. Lived in tribal groups for better access to food and protection from competing tribes. Murder, stealing, slavery were common in most societies. Migrations of peoples occurred relatively often. As a migrating people moved into new territories they brought with them diseases and lifeways that often completely destroyed the tribal groups in an area.

Young folks today are poorly educated, without a solid foundation in the history of man, and often without common sense.
