The media in this country is populated by worthless nitwits.
Some U.S. media continue to carry water for the Chinese. They do it to try to discredit the Trump Administration. China is an authoritarian government and a direct competitor (enemy?) of the U.S.
Liberal media can’t stand the Coronavirus press briefings because President Trump is in command and does not suffer fools gladly. The president uses the technical experts to respond to technical questions. The President calls out individual reporters for poor and biased questions. Reporters in the room give the impression of pettiness. Reporters always portray the situation in a negative way and always ask questions designed to “get Trump”. Media credibility has fallen. Presidential credibility has risen. The President has some of the highest poll numbers of his presidency.
Liberal media has few options. They can’t pull away from the briefings, except for short periods when the President is talking, and then they have to come back. They can’t interpret and spin the President’s comments, because his comments are viewed by the public in real time and recorded. Liberal media are called out and ridiculed when their attempts to spin are too obvious. Liberal media have lost control of the narrative. Media frustration is highlighted in the following story:

I have no sympathy for the media. They are bad at their jobs. They are obviously biased against the current administration. They obviously hate President Trump. They do everything they can to pull down Trump’s presidency. The liberal media are a pack of howling hyenas. The current professional class of journalists and media personalities are the worst in the history of our great country, in my opinion, even surpassing in poor performance the Civil War era press.
OH BOY, IS AUNTIE MAXINE GONNA BE PISSED: A Democratic state representative from Detroit — who is also a woman of color — is crediting hydroxychloroquine and Republican President Donald Trump who touted the drug — for saving her in her battle with COVID.
“Whitsett said she was familiar with “the wonders” of hydroxychloroquine from an earlier bout with Lyme disease, but does not believe she would have thought to ask for it, or her doctor would have prescribed it, had Trump not been touting it as a possible treatment for COVID-19 […] “It has a lot to do with the president … bringing it up,” Whitsett said. “He is the only person who has the power to make it a priority.”
I can just imagine Maxine Waters saying she should have died like a “true sister” rather than acknowledge being helped by Bad Orange Cracker.
The media continues to disgrace itself in the same manner over and over.
The government models used to predict the extent of the coronavirus pandemic are off by huge margins in the latest coronavirus tracking numbers. The government predictions reported by the IMHE Covid Tracking (https://covidtracking.com/data/ ) for Apr 5th were as follows:
– All beds needed: 179,267
– ICU beds needed: 33,176
– Invasive ventilators: 26,544
The actual numbers as recorded at The Covid Tracking Project:
– Actual hospitalizations: 22,158
– In ICU: 5,207
– On ventilator: 656
