It is further alleged that Jian’s boyfriend, Liu, works at a Chinese university where he conducts research on the same pathogen and that he first lied but then admitted to smuggling Fusarium graminearum into America — through the Detroit Metropolitan Airport — so that he could conduct research on it at the laboratory at the University of Michigan where his girlfriend, Jian, worked,” according to a DOJ press release…”

Democrats think Americans are stupid and can be manipulated by simple, subtle changes to the plain English-language meaning of words and phrases. Their previous attempt to do this by changing illegal alien to undocumented immigrant clearly did not work. Undaunted by this failure, they attempt the same trick again by changing undocumented to unauthorized, and hope for a different outcome.

Of course they are trying to make Americans change usage and forget that illegal aliens are illegal aliens defined as such by federal law passed over many decades by both parties.
