Analysts from the Cook Political Report, who predict the probable outcome for U.S. House of Representatives races, released its newest round of predictions on Thursday, moving ten districts heavily in favor of the Republican incumbent or candidate versus the Democrat.

FBI Agent: Comey and Other Leadership Were “Fired Up” to Pursue the False Alfa Bank Claims

FBI leadership, including then-Director James Comey, was “fired up” about the alleged secret communications channel between the Trump Organization and Russia’s Alfa Bank. The question is why Comey and others were so reportedly eager given the lack of foundation for the false claim — a record that even the researchers told the Clinton campaign could be mocked as utterly unsupported. Yet, as with the Steele dossier claims (funded and spread by the Clinton campaign) there was a strikingly receptive audience for such claims at the top of the FBI…”

I am a big fan of Senator Kennedy. I am not a fan of Chris Wray. Mr. Wray, contrary to Senator Kennedy’s statement, is a politician in my opinion. I felt that Trump should have fired him.

Fort Hood likely will be renamed Fort Cavazos

I’m not against renaming forts periodically. Don’t forget that in this instance of woke stupidity it was Democrats who demanded federal facilities be named after southern heroes of the civil war, who were Democrats. So Democrats named facilities after Confederate Democrats, to celebrate Democrat heroes. Now Democrats want to remove Confederate Democrats names from facilities.

Don’t forget that.

Weapons guide

People commit crimes. Guns are tools used by people. The Constitution of our great country guarantees the right of citizens to keep and bear arms, with some exceptions.

People are the problem. Criminals and mentally unstable people use weapons for bad purposes. I am open to improving existing gun laws to reduce the potential that crazy people can’t legally acquire them. The hard part is the details. It has to be fair and not encumber lawful gun owners.

Democrats have lost their minds

We need more Democrats like Henry Cuellar. I don’t agree with him on a lot of issues, but he is a man you can work with to achieve good things for our great country.

Democrat response to Robb Elementary School attack is to attempt to gain political advantage. But the public is not onboard with their standard political attack following shootings. Gun control is not the answer. Guns are controlled now. Guns don’t commit crimes. People commit crimes. Guns are simply a tool that can be used for good or evil.

Report: Chuck Schumer Moving Quickly to ‘Force’ Gun Control Vote

Update:

The politics didn’t work for national Democrats, so:

Schumer says no gun control vote anytime soon: ‘Americans can cast their vote in November’

Schumer

I don’t trust these jerks to do anything other than petty politics.

I agree with this…

Gun control not the answer to mass shootings: Poll

There is no single answer. Part of the answer is better psychiatric care and evaluation of mentally struggling children in their mid to late teens. Part of the answer is better parenting. Part of the answer is turning off television and social media which bombard confused and vulnerable young folks with cockamamie ideas.

Higher education is the new liberal clerisy complete with secular sacraments, dogma, and processes.

Diversity Statements Are the New Faith Statements: The diversity statements secular colleges increasingly require of faculty candidates have many similarities to the faith statements long required by religious institutions.

China’s aggressive actions driving away smaller countries…

China Is Doing Biden’s Work for Him

“…As in Europe, where Vladimir Putin’s assault is uniting the region against him, so too in Asia is an aggressive Beijing entrenching American power…

…If President Joe Biden’s trip to Asia—marked as it was by his comments on the defense of Taiwan, announcements on a proposed new regional trade pact, and meetings with leaders who exhibit similar levels of concern about a rising China—has shown the persistence of American global power, it has also revealed something of equal importance: Beijing’s failure to translate economic might into political dominance, even in its own backyard.

Biden today concluded a summit of the leaders of the Quad—a security partnership including Australia, India, Japan, and the United States—who issued a joint statement chockablock with references to promoting democracy, a rules-based global order, and peaceful resolution of disputes. That came a day after Biden announced the formation of the Indo-Pacific Economic Framework, a partnership with 13 countries as diverse as South Korea, Vietnam, and New Zealand. Notably absent from all of this was China. Biden’s trip exhibited Washington’s continued ability to rally other nations behind its standard, and in initiatives overtly targeted against the region’s supposedly rising superpower.

The script wasn’t meant to read this way. As China grew in economic importance, its smaller neighbors would, the thinking went, inevitably and inexorably be drawn into its orbit, while U.S. power would correspondingly fade, ushered along by its own political divisions and percolating isolationism…”

And thoughts from Stephen Green:

“…Most sensible people watching Communist China’s rise predicted that its smaller neighbors — from whom China historically expected tribute and vassalage — would be drawn to the US as a counterbalance. More importantly, a counterbalance with no territorial ambitions or desire for tribute.

It took a concerted effort on the part of Barack Obama and his Administration to throw a monkey wrench into that process, and a brief show of American resolve from Donald Trump to get it underway again.

Joe Biden has yet to screw it up again, but don’t underestimate his ability to do so…”
