Biden Administration message to Americans. Immigrants are more important than citizens.

Mayorkas: Americans’ Priorities Are Subordinate to ‘Nation of Immigrants’

“…President Joe Biden’s border chief Alejandro Mayorkas was asked Wednesday if his huge and growing inflow of economic migrants is good for Americans’ wages and rents, and he replied that this is a “Nation of Immigrants.”

The Cuban-born, pro-migration border chief took a few procedural questions from picked journalists when he presented part of his new plans to import more migrants into Americans’ workplaces and neighborhoods. “Our president has led the largest expansion of legal pathways ever,” Mayorkas said to a mostly empty press room.

But Breitbart News asked about the fairness of Mayorkas’s maximum-migration policies for ordinary Americans at a time of sliding wages, rising rents, and expanding civic chaos:

BBN: How do Americans gain from the immigration paths you are opening, sir? No [journalists] ever asks, “Do Americans gain from all the immigrants who you bring in — [even though] wages get pushed down, rents get pushed up.”

Mayorkas: Sir, we are a nation of immigrants. And we are a nation of laws. Individuals who qualify for relief under our laws have a basis to remain in the United States. The contributions of immigrants to this country is quite clear.

The Biden migration has added at least six million people — including four million workers — to the nation’s population. That inflow is roughly three migrants for every four American births. Millions more are expected after Mayorkas lifts the Title 42 border barrier on May 11…”

Business exodus from San Francisco continues…

T-Mobile Shutters “Flagship” San Fran Store As Mass Exodus Escalates

“…T-Mobile has joined the increasing number of businesses that have closed up shop in downtown San Francisco. This is due to the progressive city leadership’s inability to restore law and order amid skyrocketing crime.

T-Mobile’s 17,000 square feet flagship store in Union Square is now vacant, as the San Francisco Business Times first reported.

“We recently reshaped our retail strategy,” a spokesperson for T-Mobile told SFGATE via email in response to a question about the departure. 

The spokesperson did not provide details about the date of the closure. However, an employee from T-Mobile’s Mission Street location confirmed the closure took place in April…

…Last week, Democratic Mayor London Breed admitted, “The challenges facing downtown require us to imagine what is possible and create the foundation for a stronger, more resilient future.” She suggested that there are ways to “fill our empty buildings” with residential housing…”

Notice that the mayor ignores major reasons that retail business is vacating downtown, petty crime, lack of policing, homelessness, mentally disturbed people, street violence. How can you get people to take up residence in a situation like that? Also, how can residential use in expensive towers normally used for commercial and business related office space be affordable for potential residential occupants?

The first step to improving conditions in San Francisco is reversing the terrible policies that have led to the current situation. If you ignore the disease and try to fix the symptoms, the fix will fail.

Residents in the San Francisco area have voted for single-party Democrat rule at all levels of local and state government over decades. Despite obvious evidence that the policies implemented by local politicians have failed, locals vote for the same policies over and over. This is multi-generational failure.

Below is a perfect example of the reasons for the business exodus. A completely clueless local politician doubling down on failed policies as if the policies may work this time. Unbelievable. Local people voted for this, so enjoy.

Armed town police followed me down the hall. My students appeared shocked and frightened. I know I was. I was immediately barred from teaching, banished from campus, and told that if I didn’t sign a separation agreement and release of claims by April 21, ONU would commence dismissal proceedings against me. The grounds: “Collegiality.” The specifics: None.

Josef K. never learns what he’s alleged to have done wrong. The offenses I’ve allegedly committed haven’t been revealed to me, either. But I have an educated guess.

Like many universities, ONU is aggressively pursuing “diversity, equity and inclusion” initiatives. I have objected publicly as vice chairman of the University Council, an elected faculty governance body, and in newspaper op-eds and on television, to DEI efforts that don’t include viewpoint diversity and would lead to illegal discrimination in employment and admissions. [T]his semester, for no apparent reason, ONU launched an “investigation” into me, without saying what it was about. My lawyers and I asked for specifics multiple times. ONU refused to provide them.
