I think we made a major mistake in the 1980’s granting special treatment to pharmaceutical companies. Medicines are overprescribed in my opinion and too heavily relied upon. The basics: nutrition, sleep, exercise, and stress management should be the focus of medical treatments. Medicines should be a last resort. I am a geologist, not a doctor. Take that for what it is worth. This book looks like an interesting perspective.
