Terrible decision. Looks like they caved to political correctness.

Stephen Kruiser on Gov. Gretchen Whitmer of Michigan

She has bad instincts, bad judgement and an authoritarian disposition. Media love her.

Stephen Kruiser:

“…It is almost impossible to imagine that Michigan could have someone worse in charge at this critical time. Whitmer is one of those tedious Democrats in the Trump era who feel that their only job is to publicly spar with the president and make NBC News fall in love with them.

To the MSM’s delight, Whitmer was an early critic of Trump’s response to the crisis. She was so busy criticizing the federal response that she forgot to ask FEMA for a major disaster declaration so her state could receive federal assistance.

Oops.

Whitmer is a dictatorial tyrant who has instituted perhaps the most severe shutdown in the United States. Michiganders aren’t allowed to plant gardens in their own yards. Certain aisles in stores are blocked off because the Whitmeristas in the state government have decided that the citizens don’t need to legally purchase the merchandise offered in them. She has forbidden people to travel between homes that they own.

She’s a nightmare.

And she appears to enjoy it.

In an interview on Thursday, Whitmer — smiling all the while — defended her Soviet ways by saying it’s OK to be heavy-handed because it’s snowing…

…Whitmer was at her evil worst this week when she defended abortion services as “essential” by saying that abortion is — get this — “life sustaining.”…”

Post-virus protection of industry

Beijing could use the coronavirus-induced economic crisis to go on a buying spree. The U.S. and European governments must restrict the purchasing of distressed companies in sensitive sectors.

Beijing Biden

The table has turned on globalism. Holding on to the policies of the late 20th century is a mistake as were those policies. I agreed with them at the time. I have since changed my mind.

Paul Bedard:

“…A key pro-Trump super PAC is hitting the airwaves in three industrial battleground states with new ads that label Joe Biden as a China sympathizer at a time when America is concerned with the communist nation’s lying about the coronavirus and stealing U.S. jobs.

America First Action said that, starting tomorrow, it will spend $10 million in Michigan, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania on ads hitting the presumptive 2020 Democratic presidential nominee as “Beijing Biden.”

In each, it will use different lines Biden has said cheering China in the past.

In the ad in Michigan, titled “40 years,” Biden says, “I believed in 1979 … and I believe now that a rising China is a positive development.”…”

No, we’re not running out of food. It just looks that way

Panic buying at supermarkets spiked in the first weeks of COVID-19 lockdowns. But the food supply chain has since adjusted, making further shortages unlikely

Democrat candidate for President – What is this mumbling fool talking about?

What is this mumbling fool talking about? Normally I wouldn’t jump on an old guy for being confused and mumbling, but Biden put himself in the political arena. He is criticizing the President in this clip (though it is not easy to tell what he’s doing). Biden deserves ridicule and the same ruthless attacks he and his party and his media dole out. Trump will demolish this old fool.

Governor Gretchen Whitmer, poster child for the abuse of power

Patricia McCarthy:

“…As the nation deals with covid19, some state governors, mayors, police and sheriffs have become tyrants, drunk with their sudden grasp on power. Most, but not all, are Democrats of course; it is their nature to wield power over others. The American Democrat party has moved so far left that it can truthfully be called Marxist… and Marxism is totalitarianism. As Thomas Sowell observed long ago, “…totalitarianism recognizes no moral limits on the state. It’s the most convenient ideology for aspiring tyrants….”

As state governors like Gov. Gretchen Whitmer of Michigan are discovering, citizens in her state (both chambers of the state legislature are Republican) will not accept being told what they can buy, where they can go, and if they can or cannot drive to their cabins on the lakeshore. This woman, in true dictator fashion, has told the citizens of Michigan what is and what is not “essential.” Major stores that sell food and other goods have had to cordon off all products she has deemed not essential: plant and vegetable seeds, appliances, baby car seats, etc. It’s a long list. Just who is she to decide for the rest of her constituents what is essential?…”

Hamptons bicyclist files police report after verbal confrontation with CNN’s Chris Cuomo

Rules are for the little people

JOE CONCHA:

“…The Long Island bicyclist, a 65-year-old man who only identified himself as David, told the Post he decided to file a police report to document the alleged incident in case he feels “that this guy’s a threat to me.”

The bicyclist told the Post he’s lived in East Hampton for most of his life.

David said the verbal confrontation occurred after he saw Cuomo outside on Sunday.

“I just looked and said, ‘Is that Chris Cuomo? Isn’t he supposed to be quarantined?'” David said after one of the two women there approached him. “I said to him, ‘Your brother is the coronavirus czar, and you’re not even following his rules – unnecessary travel.'”

“‘Who the hell are you?! I can do what I want!’ He just ranted, screaming, ‘I’ll find out who you are!'” Cuomo responded, according to David.

“He said, ‘This is not the end of this. You’ll deal with this later. We will meet again.’ If that’s not a threat, I don’t know what is,” David added…”

Corn Pop endorses Biden

Babylon Bee scoopes the MSM again

“…WASHINGTON, D.C.—After Barack Obama endorsed Joe Biden this morning, a humbled, thankful Biden expressed his gratitude in a video of his own.

“I’m delighted to have the endorsement of my old friend, CornPop,” he said as horrified aides attempted to cut off the footage. “You know, CornPop and me go way back. I used to work at the community pool. There were both poor kids and white kids, everyone getting along great. I was wearing a rubber chicken on my swim trunks, as was the style at the time. Sometimes the kids would run their fingers through my leg hair and I’d smack ’em with the rubber chicken and then they’d chase me and we’d all get pushed into the pool and really have a great laugh. It was around the summer of ’42 I believe when CornPop came around — a real bad dude…”

Judicial Watch Subpoenas Google in Hillary Clinton Email Lawsuit

Judicial watch is doing some good work. I have contributed several times.

“…Judicial Watch announced today that it served a subpoena, authorized by a DC federal court, on Google to produce all Clinton emails from a Google account believed to contain former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s emails. Platte River Networks’ IT specialist Paul Combetta reportedly used the Google account to transfer Clinton’s emails from a laptop to a Platte River server, then usedBleachBit to remove any traces of the emails from the laptop. Judicial Watch’s subpoena seeks all Clinton emails from her time at State, January 21, 2009, to February 1, 2013. Google is requested to produce the emails by May 13…”

Coalition MPs call for review of Australia’s WHO funding

Anthony Galloway:

“…A group of Coalition backbenchers has called for a review of Australia’s funding to the World Health Organisation following Donald Trump’s decision to halt US financial support to the global body over its handling of the coronavirus pandemic.

The US President has announced a freeze on all payments to the WHO pending a review, accusing the United Nations offshoot of being too close to the Chinese government and “severely mis-managing and covering up” the threat.

Prime Minister Scott Morrison on Wednesday didn’t rule out reviewing the WHO’s performance once the pandemic was over, saying Australia did not rely on the world health body’s advice in dealing with the COVID-19 outbreak.

Foreign Affairs Minister Marise Payne said Australia shared some concerns about the WHO’s management of the crisis.

“Australia is not going to cease funding WHO as we work extensively and well with the WHO in our region, in particular to support the health needs of Pacific Island countries and in South East Asia,” she said. “Concerns about the WHO’s management in Geneva should not detract from this important and life-saving work.”

The MPs’ push comes after The Sydney Morning Herald and The Age on Wednesday revealed backbenchers from both major parties have called for the WHO to give membership to Taiwan, which has been blocked from joining by China.

Liberal MP Dave Sharma, a former senior diplomat, said Australia and other countries should undertake a global review into the WHO…”

Pennsylvania state senate votes to override governor’s stay-at-home order

ZACK BUDRYK:

“…The Pennsylvania state senate on Wednesday sent a bill that would partially lift the lockdown on most of the state’s businesses to Gov. Tom Wolf’s (D) desk.

The measure, Senate Bill 613, would require the governor’s office to align with federal guidelines in determining which businesses will be allowed to reopen during the pandemic, allowing all those that can safely operate with mitigation strategies under Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency guidelines.

The measure passed the senate 29-21 Wednesday after passing the state House 107-95 Tuesday.

The Republican senate also approved a bill that would allow county governments to implement their own plans to reopen independent of the state’s plan.

The Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee condemned the move, which comes the same day protesters in Michigan and Ohio demonstrated in favor of reopening without observing social distancing guidelines…”

More California – California State Election Official Confirms Double-Voting by Mail in Super Tuesday Primary

JOHN BINDER:

“…California Secretary of State Alex Padilla has confirmed that double-voting by mail took place in the March 3, 2020, Super Tuesday primary, Breitbart News has exclusively learned.

Days before Super Tuesday, citizen watchdog group Election Integrity Project California sent a letter to Padilla requesting his office look into possible double voting in the 2020 primary election.

More than a month later, in a letter dated April 7, 2020, Padilla confirmed double-voting in one case and suspected double-voting by a number of other registered voters on Super Tuesday, according to the letter obtained by Breitbart News.

Padilla confirmed in at least one case that two ballots from one voter were “opened and counted on election night.” Twelve of the 15 total registered voters identified with “duplicate voting history” are “suspected to have cast two ballots for the March primary election,” Padilla wrote in the letter.

In the remaining two cases, Padilla said county election officials “caught the duplicate voter records prior to election day and only one vote was tallied.” Padilla said the findings have been “forwarded to investigators to follow-up as necessary with the voters.”…”
