After criticizing Trump, Gavin Newsom orders state police to patrol California cities to stop violent crime

Governor Hairdo has no choice. He can’t stop Trump from federalizing law enforcement if in Trump’s opinion there is an emergency. It’s better for Hairdo to take enforcement actions now to try to head off a Trump move into Los Angeles and San Francisco. That would be an embarrassment that Hairdo apparently can’t stomach.
