I think the Democrat bell curve is shifted left more than shown in the above graph. The creator of the graph tried to fudge the leftward drift of the Democrat Party by extending the left descending slope. The peak is shifted not just the slope. Also, with the modern Democrat Party as it currently exists, the right descending slope is much steeper than shown and effectively truncated along a near vertical line just to the right of center. The area under the Democrat graph shown above is much too large. The same, but reversed condition, cannot be claimed for the Republican graph. This graph does explain, in general terms, the American electorate.
