Listen to @algore predict an ice-free Arctic by 2014 at his December 10, 2007 Nobel prize speech.

Al Gore apparently did pretty well for a decade or two selling this bullshit.
Earth operates on a geologic scale, not a human scale. In 100,000,000 years, the Earth will be here and doing just fine. Will humans be here to worry about a 1° change in global temperature? Does a 1° change in global temperature, assuming such change can be accurately measured in a repeatable process, have a negative or positive affect on modern humans? How soon will the 1° change happen? Is any current model capable of reverse predicting the past 40 years of relatively detailed climate data? No, you say, so who can tell what the global climate will do in the next 10 years, 100 years, or 1,000 years? Nobody can. Consider some multi-disciplinary geologic history over the Holocene and latest Pleistocene.
And consider some multi-disciplinary geologic data from the last 450 million years.
I no longer assume good faith on the part of public scientists, politicians, bureaucrats, and media personalities that push climate change.
Here’s a garbage media warning from 1983 indicating we will all be dead from climate change by the end of the 1990’s.
1983. NBC News. We are all going to die by the 1990's because of climate change. 😂 pic.twitter.com/YZvG7cvc89

The best run down of garbage media stupidity on climate change including global cooling, global warming, acid rain, famine, pollution, etc. is here:
Wrong Again: 50 Years of Failed Eco-pocalyptic Predictions
The Wrong Again list extends through September 2019, but it is a fairly comprehensive and fun list of climate cult nonsense dating back to 1967.
