2024 Democratic choice: ‘Not Sure’ beats Biden, 28%-19%
“…Stuck with an unpopular president and a weak replacement bench, Democratic voters appear to be throwing their hands up in frustration when it comes to who they would like as their 2024 nominee.
In a new I&I/TIPP poll, just 29% of Democrats picked President Joe Biden. And tied for second at 12% were Vice President Kamala Harris and “Not Sure.”
And that’s Biden’s base. Throw in Republicans and independents, and the president in the national survey drops to 19%, beat handily by “Not Sure” at 28%.
“For a sitting president barely into his second year in office to be below 20% in the next election’s preference shows just how low Biden has dropped in the public eye. Last week’s I&I/TIPP Poll results showed that a similar level (21%) of Americans didn’t think Biden would even finish his first term, much less run for a second,” said the survey analysis.
The survey offered the names of 19 top Democrats, “Other,” and “Not Sure.” Among Democrats, only Harris was picked in double digits, at 12%. Among all voters, no one except Biden scored double digits…”
