Biden Dispatches ‘The Joker’ to Europe

This is what you get when you take more than 200 years of hard fought history, fearless progress and unrivaled leadership in the world to build the greatest global power ever devised by humans on earth — and hand it to an imbecile.

Asked at a press conference in Poland about the massive and growing humanitarian crisis caused by the savage Russian invasion of Ukraine, Vice President Kamala Harris burst into her signature cackling laughter.

The crazed woman really is the most terrorizing Joker ever played on the big screen. Jack Nicholson and Joaquin Phoenix sit in dark rooms before flickering TVs marveling in jealousy at her terrorizing performances.

And she does it all without smeared, garish makeup.

Her stunned host, Polish President Andrzej Duda, proceeded to answer the question about the refugees in light of the hilarity Kamala Harris found in the flood of widowed women and orphaned children gathering at Poland’s border.

Perhaps realizing that she was — yet again — in the deep end without her water wings, The Joker retreated to her worn bag of gags, tricks and squeaky noses to pull out a cartoonishly awkward cliche for the solemn moment.

“A friend in need is a friend indeed!” she grinned ridiculously.

It is important to remember that when this woman tossed her hat into the ring for president two years ago, all the veteran geniuses in Washington media predicted that this blithering fool was so impressive that she would be “the one to beat” for the presidency.

The Joker may be the haunting face and cackling voice of Washington incompetence today, but she is hardly the whole problem.

“We will not send them back to what is a war zone,” The Joker responded meekly.

It might be tempting to think that as Democrats facing reelection in November abandon the Biden White House, the administration dispatched The Joker to eastern Europe simply to destroy her political career. Kind of like putting her in charge of our own southern border.

To put it in cartoon imagery that the Joker and the rest of the White House might understand, sending someone to preside over the catastrophe in Ukraine is like the Roadrunner handing Wile E. Coyote an anvil just as he is about to disappear off a jagged cliff to a barren ravine below — followed promptly by a grand piano.

But the sad truth is that as hopelessly unqualified and ridiculous as The Joker is, she is probably the very best this White House has to offer. Sent to patch up relations with allies after the U.S. nixed Poland’s plans to send fighter jets to help Ukraine, The Joker flat-out lied.

“The United States and Poland are united in what we have done and are prepared to do to help Ukraine and the people of Ukraine. Full stop,” she said, even as Polish jets remained on the ground of no use to Ukrainians.

Not only is that a lie, but in the same breath she basically accused the Polish president of lying.

And then she wandered into another one of her incomprehensible word salads.

“I can tell you that the issue facing the Ukrainian people and our allies in the Eastern flank is something that occupies one of our highest priorities,” she said, without cackling. “In terms of paying attention to the needs, understanding it’s a dynamic situation, requires us to be nimble and swift.”

Yes, she said “nimble and swift.”…”

Sixty-three percent of Americans disapprove of the president’s handling of the issue of inflation and rising prices, according to a recent poll, including 54 percent who strongly disapprove.

New infections are not only far higher than they were before the Omicron variant emerged, they are rising again after a brief fall in February. And even boosters appear to offer no protection against hospitalizations in younger people.

British data are crucial both because Britain vaccinated and boosted early and because its datasets are far more complete and less politicized than those in the United States.

Day by day, week by week, the figures are becoming more worrisome. They hint that mRNA and DNA shots may have slowed if not completely halted the natural progression to herd immunity that occurred in earlier respiratory virus epidemics.

In fact, Britain now reports 99 percent of adults have antibodies to Covid, mostly as the result of vaccination. That level is far higher than epidemiologists believed would be necessary to support herd immunity. Yet Covid infections, hospitalizations, and deaths continue unabated. Almost 12,000 Britons are now hospitalized with Covid, more than at this time last year.

The most stunning chart is this one. Each week the British government releases a “surveillance report” which includes Covid deaths by vaccine status.

DCCC advice to Dems for the midterms: Don’t ‘sound like a jerk’

NBC News reports that rather than uniting Democrats behind a common plan, the meeting seemed to emphasize their disagreements. Progressives think their best hope is to pass the Franken-BBB bill so they’ll have something to run on. Moderates think they just need to stop talking like preachy progressives.

Asked whether Democrats need to pass a Build Back Better-like bill to keep the majority, Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney, D-N.Y., the chair of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, or DCCC, replied: “No.”…

Maloney’s advice? “Talk like real people.” Don’t “sound like a jerk.” And “be a human being in relation to your voters.” Or put more simply: Be “real people.”

It may not sound like Maloney is being very pointed but in context sounding “like a jerk” is a reference to some recent DCCC polling which found that “battleground voters think the party is ‘preachy,’ ‘judgmental’ and ‘focused on culture wars.’” So sounding like a jerk means sounding like a squad progressive. One squad-adjacent progressive seemed to agree with Maloney:

“We need visionary, historic leadership and new conversations that are smart and engaging with the entire American people instead of the dumbing down [of issues], and the way we’re framing these issues is worrisome,” said Rep. Jamaal Bowman (D-N.Y.). “We’ve got to trust the American people to be able to receive and engage in and guide us on what needs to be done.”

That actually sounds like a smart approach even if it is also an attempt by a far left congressman to hide a far left agenda…”
