Below is why people have lost faith and trust in government and media:
Very volatile and very dangerous. pic.twitter.com/xKrQ5sFNJh https://t.co/p2DhoihnG7

Yeah, it’s volatile, very dangerous, and harmful. Sure.
Government leaders and media concoct false stories about the situation when information to the contrary is readily available to everybody.
Government at any level has refused to talk with the protestors and refused to negotiate. The government plan is to wait the protestors out and act like the protest didn’t happen. Meanwhile government tries to apply pressure to the protestors to quit, concocting obviously false stories of impending doom and threatening anyone who is friendly to the protestors. The protestors are not criminals. They have not torn down statues, or burned buildings, or shot up the downtown area, or started fights with police or locals, none of that. There have been very few arrests. The protestors are loyal, tax paying citizens who have a grievance and want it addressed. By failing to recognize the legitimacy of their grievance and ignoring the protestors, the government is making the situation worse. This is how you divide a country, not bring one together.
I also feel for the local residents who have to live with this. I wouldn’t like it any more than they do.
