The bravery of Brian Williams, journalist.

Brian Williams Tearfully Recounts Clinging To Outside Of Airplane To Escape Kabul

“…NEW YORK, NY—During his nightly news program this week, Brian Williams, world-renowned and universally-trusted news anchor, described his harrowing escape from Kabul.

“There was chaos everywhere!” Williams recounted in Friday’s captivating edition of Brian Williams’ The 11th Hour with Brian Williams. “AK-47s were shooting at me as I drove my moped through crowded, burning streets. Chaghama, my wife of twenty years, and our three young sons, Abu-Zar, Muhammed, and Frank Jr, were all piled onto the back seat, while I dodged gunfire and EMPs with incredible precision. We finally arrived at the airport in time to see the last plane taking off.”

Williams paused a moment to wipe a tear from his eye.

“Suddenly, a gigantic Mad Max-style vehicle came up behind us and started chasing us while Taliban soldiers clung to it, blasting rock music and throwing spears at us,” Williams continued. “That’s when I hit the nitro, and blasted forward at speeds never before witnessed by humankind. But alas, I was forced to slow down for a brief moment to rescue a baby that was stuck in a tree. As the post-apocalyptic truck began closing in on us, I began to feel that all hope was lost!”

Williams took a long draw from his glass of water.

“Then I saw it, off in the distance: a humble farmer who had come to town to sell crops in the market from his two-wheeled cart, had temporarily set it down at just the right angle to form a ramp! Sweat dripped from my brow as I charged forward toward the cart, knowing I had to time it just right!”

Williams leaned forward and grasped his desk as he stared straight into the camera.

“That’s when I hit the nitro, and raced toward that ramp at unfathomable velocity,” Williams said while gesturing with his hands to show the angle at which his moped raced upward. “As we jettisoned into the sky, I glanced in my rear-view mirror just in time to see the Taliban vehicle skid into a truck full of manure. And then explode.”

Williams illustrated by tossing his papers into the air.

“As we careened, almost weightlessly through the nothingness, I saw the last escaping 747 flying away. That’s when I hit the gas and aimed right at the giant plane. Just as the moped finally began to fall down toward the earth, I grabbed my family in one arm and leaped toward the port side wing, grasping it with my free hand just in time to swing around and throw each family member through a separate passenger window. From there, I held onto the outer hull for five days, as we made the arduous journey back home.”

Williams was still grabbing the top of his desk with his full body as the program came to a close.

UPDATE: Williams has clarified that he was actually on a different moped from the one that shot into the sky toward the 747.

UPDATE 2: Williams has further clarified that he was actually sleeping peacefully in his New York City condo when these events occurred…”

Biden’s Afghanistan disaster resulted from incompetence and deception. Deception of the American public through false media narratives.

Evidence mounts that Biden manufactured weeks-long false narrative on Afghanistan

John Solomon:

“…The long saga of the Russia collusion scandal — during which law enforcement, media, political operatives and intelligence assets manufactured a two-year illusion of a Trump-Russia conspiracy that did not exist — raised questions about a new era of political warfare in which false realities could be foisted upon the American public.

The bungled, bloody U.S. exit from Afghanistan now has some fearing the Biden administration practiced deception by omission and commission to create a two-month false narrative that misled Congress and the American public by making the situation in and around Kabul look better than it was.

Two powerful pieces of evidence emerged this week that strongly suggest the Afghan exit wasn’t just a case of incompetence but rather an intentional effort to use PR lipstick to disguise a Biden plan that was secretly willing to accept chaos and stranded Americans as a possible outcome to avoid further military casualties during the exit.

On Wednesday, Reuters published a leaked transcript of a call that quoted Biden asking the soon-to-flee Afghan president Ashraf Ghani to offer a narrative to change the “perception” of the Taliban’s rapid advance in Afghanistan, “whether it is true or not.”

“I need not tell you the perception around the world and in parts of Afghanistan, I believe, is that things are not going well in terms of the fight against the Taliban,” Biden is quoted as telling the Afghan president. “And there is a need, whether it is true or not, there is a need to project a different picture.”

The White House did not dispute the account of the July 23 call, even though it suggested that an American president asked a foreign leader to assist in creating a potentially fake story.

Earlier this week, Biden administration officials also conceded the president granted himself a waiver to avoid providing Congress this summer a legally required report on the dangers of withdrawing from Afghanistan, leaving lawmakers mostly in the dark about a situation in which U.S. confidence in the Afghan government and military rapidly deteriorated.

One act of commission, another of omission that clearly created false expectations and impressions and empowered the president’s top aides — from Jen Psaki at the White House to John Kirby at the Pentagon — to make pronouncements like:

    • Every American who wants to come home will be able to do so before Aug. 31.
    • Every Afghan loyalist in danger could be evacuated.
    • The Afghan army could hold Kabul for months after the U.S. departed.

In the end, none of those pronouncements were true, and the plan failed. Scores of Americans, thousands of Afghan loyalists and $85 billion in prized U.S. military hardware were left behind, Kabul fell to the Taliban before Americas’s departure, and 13 U.S. troops were killed in the single bloodiest American tragedy of the Afghan war in a decade.

Republican and Democratic lawmakers alike are now declaring they felt deceived by Biden and his team…”

The Democrats are all out to destroy our great military

There’s a Problem in the Upper Reaches of Our Military

Victor Davis Hanson

“…It is the beginning of a never-ending bad dream. Joe Biden and the Pentagon have managed to birth a new terrorist haven, destroy much of U.S. strategic deterrence, and alienate our allies and much of the country.

In the hours after the horrific deaths of 13 service members, we have been reassured by our military that our partnership with the Taliban to provide security for our flights was wise. We were told that the terrorist victors share similar goals to ours in a hasty American retreat from Kabul. We were reminded that Afghan refugees (unlike U.S. soldiers) will not be forced to be vaccinated on arrival. Such statements are either untrue or absurd.

On the very day of the attack that killed American troops, the sergeant major of the U.S. Army reminded us in a tweet that diversity is our strength, commemorating not the dead, but Women’s Equality Day. If so, then is the opposite of diversity — unity — our weakness? Will such wokeness ensure that we do not abandon the Bagram air base in the middle of the night without opposition?

The chief of staff at the Office of Naval Intelligence warned the ONI’s active duty and retired service members that they must not criticize Biden, their commander in chief, over the Afghanistan fiasco. The office correctly cited prohibitions found in the Uniform Code of Military Justice barring any disrespect shown to senior government leadership.

Indeed, a lieutenant colonel in the U.S. Marine Corps was relieved of his command for posting a video accurately blaming military and civilian leadership for the Afghanistan nightmare.

Yet until Jan. 20, retired top brass had constantly smeared their elected commander in chief with impunity.

Recently retired Gen. Michael Hayden retweeted a horrific suggestion that unvaccinated Trump supporters should be put on planes back to Afghanistan, where they presumably would be left to die. Hayden earlier had compared Trump’s border facilities to Nazi death camps.

Other retired high-profile military officials variously called their president an emulator of Nazi tactics, a veritable Mussolini, a liar, and deserving of removal from office sooner than later. None of these retired four-stars faced the sort of repercussions that the Office of Naval Intelligence just warned about.

More than 50 former intelligence officials on the eve of the November election signed a letter suggesting that incriminating emails found on Hunter Biden’s missing laptop might be “Russian disinformation.” They used their stature for political purposes to convince the American people that the story was a lie.

Retired Gen. Joseph Dunford and retired Adm. Mike Mullen recently blasted retired brass who had questioned Biden’s cognitive ability. OK. But they should have issued a similar warning earlier, when the violations of fellow retired officers were even more egregious in election year 2020.

Gen. Mark Milley, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, apologized for doing a photo op with Trump, erroneously buying into the narrative that Trump had ordered rioters cleared from Lafayette Square for the staged picture. Worse, he leaked to journalists that he was so angry with Trump that he “considered” resigning.

Think of the irony. If Milley considered a politicized resignation to rebuke Trump over the false charge, then surely he could consider a real resignation after overseeing the worst military disaster of the last half-century in Kabul.

Milley had promised to root out white supremacy from the ranks while recommending that his soldiers read Ibram X. Kendi’s racialist diatribes.

Something is terribly wrong in the ranks of America’s top commanders that reflects something wrong with the country.

The Pentagon needs to stop virtue-signaling about diversity days and culturally sensitive food for Afghan refugees. Instead, can it just explain why the Bagram air base was abandoned by night, or why Taliban terrorists are our supposed “partners” in organizing our surrender and escape?

Which general allowed more than $85 billion in American weapons to fall to the Taliban — a sum equal to the price of seven new U.S. aircraft carriers?

Who turned over to the Taliban the lists of Americans and allied Afghans to be evacuated?

Who left behind biometric devices that the Taliban are now using to hunt down our former Afghan friends?

Somehow our new woke Pentagon is hell-bent on losing the trust of the American people — along with the wars it fights abroad…”

Did Biden know Afghan collapse was eminent?

As Biden repeats claim that ‘nobody could have known’ Afghan Army would collapse, bombshell transcript from July reveals he pressured Afghan President Ghani to create ‘perception’ Taliban wasn’t winning ‘WHETHER IT’S TRUE OR NOT’

    • Reuters on Tuesday released excerpts from last call between Biden and Ghani before the Afghan president fled
    • They talked for about 14 minutes on July 23 as the Taliban advanced rapidly
    • Biden told his counterpart of a perception that the fight against the Taliban was not going well
    • ‘There is a need, whether it is true or not … to project a different picture,’ he said
    • Comments are indication Biden knew it was matter of time before Taliban won
    • In months leading up to withdrawal, Biden predicted pullout would go smoothly
    • Neither appeared to realize just how badly things would go
    • Less than four weeks later the Taliban had captured Kabul

“…President Joe Biden wanted the now-departed Afghan president to create the ‘perception’ that his government was capable of holding off the Taliban – an indication he knew it was only a matter of time before the US ally fell to the Islamic group even while reassuring Americans at home that it would not happen.

In the last phone call between Biden and his Afghan then-counterpart Ashraf Ghani, the American president said they needed to change perceptions of the Taliban‘s rapid advance ‘whether it is true or not,’ according to excerpts published on Tuesday.

The call took place on July 23 – weeks before the fall of Kabul – but Biden on Tuesday repeated his assertion that his team was caught flat-footed by the rapid Taliban takeover of the country…”

I am so old I can remember when President Trump was impeached for a second time over a phone call with a foreign leader and that was a lot less onerous than this. Of course, Biden is a Democrat, so…

    • ‘The content of the reporting is consistent with what we have said many times publicly,’ Psaki told reporters Wednesday
    • Biden focused much of his last  call with Ghani on his ‘perception problem’ in the fight against the Taliban
    • ‘Changing perception’ is political spin, not a national security strategy,’ Rep. Jody Hice said
    • Biden pressed Ghani to bring together the government’s most prominent figures for a press conference. ‘That will change perception’
    • Biden said the US would provide aid if Ghani could project to the world that he ‘had a plan’ for fighting the Taliban
    • Republicans have called for Biden’s impeachment over Afghanistan, but Mitch McConnell on Tuesday threw cold water on the idea

U.S. Predator drone had ‘kill shot’ on terrorist before he killed 13 Marines — Biden bowed to Taliban who ‘denied permission to shoot’

“…Former Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Western Hemisphere Affairs, Roger Pardo-Maurer said the U.S. Department of Defense already knew who the bomber was ahead of time, before the bombing and when and where the Kabul attack would occur — the Abbey Gate was at “highest risk.”

Pardo-Maurer went further in his interview. He said not only did they know where and when it would happen, but that they had a Predator drone lock on the bomber.

“Permission to shoot was requested and was denied by the Taliban. Because we are in this process of negotiating with the Taliban who aren’t even in control of their own government or their own people.”…”

I don’t know if this is true or not.

Despicable. I don’t know what else to say. Other than that I hold the Biden Administration in utter contempt. What fools.

Check Out What the Biden Administration Just Did to Websites Listing Weapons It Gave to the Taliban

“…Just after the fall of Kabul, the Taliban started turning up in U.S. uniforms, carrying U.S. rifles, and riding in U.S. vehicles. They started showing off a Black Hawk helicopter they’d captured. It soon became clear that when the Taliban overran the Afghan military, it also snapped up all of that military’s gear. It also grabbed all of the gear the U.S. military left behind at Bagram Air Base and other posts as it hastily retreated. Joe Biden insists he and his high command, including generals who wear medal clusters so enormous you could serve a pizza on them, planned for all this. But did they? Did they plan to arm the Taliban?

One question now is: Did they plan for the ongoing cover-up?

Forbes reports that the State Department is telling other federal agencies to scrub their websites of lists of weapons the U.S. provided the Afghan military over the years.

According to an admission obtained from the State Department, Biden officials recently directed federal agencies to scrub their websites of official reports detailing the $82.9 billion in military equipment and training provided to the Afghan security forces since 2001.

The scrubbed audits and reports included detailed accounting of what the U.S. had provided to Afghan forces, down to the number of night vision devices, hand grenades, Black Hawk helicopters, and armored vehicles.

Reports further quantified 208 aircraft and helicopters; 75,000 war vehicles – including 22 Humvees, 50,000 tactical vehicles and nearly 1,000 mine resistant vehicles; and 600,000 weapons – including 350,000 M4 and M16 rifles, 60,000 machine guns, and 25,000 grenade launchers.

The Biden administration claims it’s scrubbing weapons information, including some reports that are several years old, to protect those it left stranded in Afghanistan. That’s laughable.

When the news that the Taliban had captured so much of our gear first broke, it caused your humble correspondent to ask a shocking question: Is Joe Biden now the world’s greatest terrorist arms supplier? Is Lunch Pail Joe a notorious terrorist gun-runner?

This graphic made the rounds on social media. It depicts just how well-armed the Taliban are now. They reportedly have more helicopters than about 85% of the countries in the world.

Afghanistan

The Biden administration left all this behind and now wants federal agencies to hide the truth from the American taxpayers who paid for it. They were a little slow covering their tracks after their hasty retreat.

Donald Trump was impeached for a whole lot less than arming a terrorist group with just about everything it could possibly want and then giving it a country.

National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan appeared on MSNBC earlier Wednesday and refused to even call the Taliban an “enemy.” He failed to come up with a suitable word for the terrorist group that succored the architects of 9-11 and is reportedly going house-to-house to kill anyone who worked with the United States over the past 20 years.

In a darkly and ironically humorous note to all this, the Taliban are upset and want the world to know that they feel betrayed — by Biden. He failed to leave some of the U.S. gear in working order…”
