Where was the rioting outrage last summer?

“…As Chris “Fredo” Cuomo of CNN put it during one of those undocumented shopping sprees, “Please, show me where it says protests have to be polite and peaceful.”

Let’s start with Gov. Charlie Baker. Never stand between Baker and a television camera (or the internet) when there’s an opportunity to virtue-signal.

Here was his press release Wednesday afternoon:

“I join with Americans from every corner of the country to condemn the violence unfolding at the Capitol, and President Trump and his supporters must do the same immediately.”

Now let’s go back to the riots of late May — remember those lawless mobs rampaging through downtown Boston on that Sunday night on live TV.

The thugs foraged from Newbury Street all the way to Downtown Crossing, looting jewelry and clothing stores, vandalizing buildings, and, in at least one case, shooting at Boston cops from a moving vehicle on Tremont Street across from the Common.

Millions of dollars in damages, at least 55 arrests.

Here was Charlie Parker’s verbatim play-by-play on the worst mass violence in Boston since busing:

“The vast majority, and I mean the vast majority of the people who were part of these protests are there to make a point and to make it peacefully. That is so obvious I’m amazed that anyone could say anything other than that, at least in Massachusetts.”

In other words, who are you gonna believe, Charlie Baker or your lyin’ eyes?

After that nonsense Charlie did mumble a few words about “bad actors,” but he quickly returned to his original theme: “These demonstrators … go there peacefully to engage in a peaceful demonstration.”…”

This story or some similar iteration was repeated in multiple Democrat cities across the nation.

So, here we have Nancy Pelosi, then the minority leader in the House of Representatives, now the speaker of the House, at the very least condoning, if not actually calling for a violent insurrection against the government in response to a policy—a policy that actually began under the Obama-Biden administration.

Not even Snopes could deny this one. Two former Obama administration officials have publicly acknowledged this fact. There is a lot of photographic evidence of migrant detention facilities during the Obama years, with children crowded in caged areas, sleeping on concrete floors, that just didn’t resonate with the media or the political Left until after Trump became president. It’s almost as though they were trying to protect Obama’s legacy.

“…WASHINGTON, D.C.—Ignorant Republicans rioted yesterday but didn’t even snag any free big-screen TVs out of the deal, sources at the Capitol Building reported.

The short-sighted protesters stormed the Capitol without stealing a bunch of stuff, prompting many to question whether they really understand the purpose of a peaceful protest at all.

“Look at these morons, rioting at the Capitol when there’s a perfectly good Target just down the street,” said one CNN reporter. “If they’d looted a bunch of local businesses in the name of social justice or whatever, we’d be covering this protest a heck of a lot differently, I’ll tell you that.”

The rioters were condemned by people on both sides of the aisle, with critics slamming them for disrupting congressional proceedings, breaking through police barricades, and not even stealing a single Lego set, cheesecake, or Nike shoe in the name of justice. No footage emerged of the Capitol occupiers lighting cop cars on fire or throwing bricks through restaurant windows, causing the protesters to lose support from people of all political persuasions.

“One thing is clear,” said one political analyst. “These people obviously don’t know the sweet, sweet justice of lugging a 60-inch TV back to your apartment to show how much you care about your cause.”…”

The press holds much of the responsibility for the unease at the present moment and over the last four years.

The MSM are liars, unprofessional, biased, and a general disgrace, with very few exceptions.

At least the media finally came around to the idea that riots are scary

“…CNN’s Jake Tapper, Dana Bash, and others were aghast Wednesday as the nation watched thousands of President Trump’s supporters storm the Capitol, breaching the premises, and rioting within the building. Aside from all the violence, though, they were otherwise peaceful!

Finally, the media understand how dangerous mobs can be. Good timing.

To be sure, Wednesday’s events were grotesque. This is how liberals are expected to behave — such as when all of Washington, D.C., was boarded up in anticipation of how the locals would react if Trump won reelection. Republican-leaning precincts didn’t have to do any boarding up because that’s not expected of them.

Nothing of late has really gone as expected, though.

The pro-Trump chaos in Washington didn’t come out of nowhere. The context is months of the media and Democrats excusing and often encouraging the rioting, looting, arson, and vandalism that took place over the summer and into the fall of 2020. Those were Democratic voters, the Black Lives Matter crowd, and antifa. Back then, terrified people in the United States were assured that the protests were “mostly peaceful,” even as they watched their communities and neighborhoods overrun by thugs demanding that the government “defund the police.”

Tapper had little to say about those riots, but on Wednesday, he called the scene at the Capitol an “absolutely shameful, disgusting situation.”

Ah, but I’m here in Washington, and I assure you, Jake, that the vast majority of the protests were peaceful!

Rioting isn’t a good look for the U.S. This would be easier to explain if the media had believed it in 2020…”

I call on all Americans to moderate your passions, seek peaceful options to political change, do not follow the foul example set by Antifa/BLM rioters over the last year.

The riots and storming of the congress must stop. We are a country of laws. We must follow the laws no matter how much those laws have been abused by Democrats and media over the last year.

Biden will have his hands full.

I hold the fake, biased, corrupt media to blame for the hard feelings in the country. The media have abused their position far beyond what I thought possible.

Democrats allowed the crazy left to riot and burn. Instead of calling the crazies out, they egged the crazies on, to their everlasting shame.
