Biden Admin. reportedly failing to cooperate with IG probe into botched Afghanistan withdrawal.

“…Republicans are asking why the Biden Administration is allegedly attempting to obstruct the Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction’s (SIGAR) investigation into the botched Afghanistan withdrawal.

In a letter to Inspector General (IG) John Sopko, Reps. James Comer (R-Kentucky) and Glenn Grothman (R-Wisconsin) state that the Biden Administration’s alleged failure to cooperate with the IG is leading to critical delays in Congress getting requested information.

Separately, the FBI is reported to have raided the home of an ABC News investigative producer, James Meek who was reportedly working on an investigation about the botched US withdrawal from Afghanistan. He is said to have since disappeared from public view, quit his job, and quit a book project he was working on.

The Republicans are asking for an immediate briefing to better understand obstacles prohibiting SIGAR from completing its investigation…”

Does Joe Biden Know His Son Beau Did NOT Die in Iraq?

“…Last month, Joe Biden falsely claimed that his son Beau, who died of brain cancer in 2015, had been killed in Iraq. Biden was widely criticized for the fib. Yet, once again, he’s told the same whopper.

At a White House event on Tuesday, Biden, while trying to make a point about inflation, accidentally referred to the war in Iraq when he meant the war in Ukraine. Rather than correct himself and move on, he tried to explain the gaffe — and made an even worse one.

“Inflation is a worldwide problem right now because of a war in Iraq — excuse me the war in Ukraine — I’m thinking of Iraq because that’s where my son died.”…”

CDC director tests positive for COVID-19 again after Paxlovid treatment

“…Oct. 31 (UPI) — The director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Dr. Rochelle Walensky, has tested positive again for COVID-19. Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan announced Monday that he also tested positive for the virus.

Walensky, who has been isolating at her Massachusetts home since she was first diagnosed on Oct. 21, started developing mild symptoms and tested positive again on Sunday after taking a course of Pfizer’s antiviral pill Paxlovid, the CDC said in a statement.

“CDC Director Dr. Rochelle Walensky experienced mild symptoms from her recent COVID-19 infection, completed a course of Paxlovid, and, after a period of isolation, tested negative for the virus,” the CDC said Monday.

“On Sunday, Dr. Walensky began to develop mild symptoms and has again tested positive. Consistent with CDC guidelines, she is isolating at home and will participate in her planned meetings virtually,” the CDC added…”
