Democrats feeling pressure about the upcoming election

The first evidence is an article by Andrew Sullivan:

The Trap The Democrats Walked Right Into If law and order are what this election is about, they will lose it.

Mr. Sullivan is an unusual character in my opinion. He seems to have a couple of exposed wires in the old noggin. He can go on for a paragraph or two writing in seeming clarity, and then it is as if he turns his head, the exposed wires arc, and the electrical discharge causes his brain to breach the sea of normal. The following paragraphs are a miasma of unhinged liberal daydreams. Then, as the electrical discharge dissipates, he settles back to normal and he can express clear thought again.

At any event, my take from his convoluted article is that he is worried, significantly so, that Trump is going win again. Click over if you want to get the thrust yourself.

The next piece of evidence is this:

Bill Maher is “very nervous.”

One more piece of evidence:

81% report recently buying a gun (or knowing someone who did)

“…Eighty-one percent report recently buying a gun themselves or knowing someone who did.

That’s according to the latest unscientific poll of 600 people at SharylAttkisson.com.

Fifty-five percent (55%) say they recently bought a gun for the first time. Another 26% said they recently bought a gun, but not for the first time.

Sixteen percent (16%) say they no of nobody who has done so…”

An unofficial poll but an interesting one. I think that is the Democrats weakness – people who have never owned a gun having recently bought one. People are scared about the lawlessness, rioting, looting, arson and the lack of response from Democrat leaders.

‘It’s playing into Trump’s hands’: Dems fear swing-state damage from Kenosha unrest

More still:

Rasmussen asks where are the post DNC and RNC head to head match ups? Liberal polling unable to hide or shade results to keep Biden in race?

Liberal pollsters and their clients think you are stupid

The mayor of Portland is a preening, posturing fool. The perfect Democrat politician.

Read this jerk’s letter to the President. The President has repeatedly offered to help resolve the lawlessness in the city.

The Mayor’s self-righteous, preening and political posturing do not seem to have gained him favor with the wacked-out libs rioting, looting, burning and causing mayhem in the city. The crazies have occupied the Mayor’s apartment building demanding his resignation. This could not have happened to a nicer or more deserving nincompoop than Mayor Wheeler. Please enjoy your new guests Mr. Mayor.

Out of state members of “Riot Kitchen” arrested in Kenosha, Wisconsin. Defendants caught filling multiple gas cans also had helmets, gas masks, protective vests, illegal fireworks, and suspected controlled substances

Democrat insurrectionists spread violence and hate

Kenosha police find helmets, gas masks, more in out-of-state vehicles; arrest 9

“…An alert citizen tipping the Kenosha Police Department to three suspicious vehicles with out-of-state plates Wednesday night led to the arrest of nine people authorities suspect were plotting some sort of criminal activity related to recent violent protests.

However, a group out of Seattle that was founded to provide free food to protesters and activists, RiotKitchen206, claims it was their members who were arrested and that they were in Kenosha only to serve meals to people at the demonstrations.

According to a statement posted on KPD’s Facebook page, the tipster told them the vehicles were in a remote lot near State Highway 50 and Green Bay Road. Officers soon found the vehicles – a black school bus, a bread truck, and a tan minivan – and, with the help of U.S. Marshals, staked out the position.

When the vehicles headed to a gas station on Washington Road and 30th Ave., law enforcement was close behind, the statement continued. The officers reported seeing people from the black bus try to fill multiple fuel cans. Seeing that and suspecting they were planning something illegal, the officers approached the vehicles and identified themselves. KPD reported that the suspects in the bus and bread truck all surrendered, while those in the minivan tried driving off.

According to KPD, officers were able to stop the minivan and force their way into it, arresting everyone in the vehicle. With all of the suspects in custody, officers searched the vehicles and discovered helmets, gas masks, protective vests, illegal fireworks, and suspected controlled substances, the statement noted…”

Mail in voting could be a disaster, on a scale with the rioting, looting and arson in Democrat cities

Iowa judge sides with Trump, invalidates 50,000 mail-in-ballots

“…A judge ordered an Iowa county Thursday to invalidate 50,000 requests for absentee ballots, agreeing with President Donald Trump’s campaign that its elections commissioner overstepped his authority by pre-filling them with voters’ personal information.

Judge Ian Thornhill issued a temporary injunction ordering Linn County Auditor Joel Miller to notify voters in writing that the forms should not have been pre-filled with their information and cannot be processed. Instead, they’ll have to either fill out new requests for absentee ballots or vote on Election Day.

The ruling marks an initial victory for Trump’s challenges to absentee voting procedures in three counties in Iowa, which is expected to be competitive in his race against Democratic nominee Joe Biden. They’re part of an unprecedented legal battle involving dozens of lawsuits nationwide that will shape the rules of the election.

Republicans said the ruling would hold a “rogue auditor” accountable and enhance voting security, while outraged Democrats called it an act of voter suppression. Miller said he would abide by the order, pledging to void the returned requests and send out new blank forms to voters next month.

At issue was Miller’s decision to send absentee ballot request forms to 140,000 voters in July that were already filled with their personal information, including names, dates of birth and, most significantly, voter identification numbers.

Miller, a Democrat, has said his goal was to make it as easy as possible to vote absentee during a pandemic, as the virus spreads uncontrolled across the state.

Voters had to review, sign and return the forms to request ballots that will be mailed beginning Oct. 5. About 50,000 requests have been returned in the Democratic-leaning county, which is Iowa’s second largest and is recovering from a derecho that devastated the region Aug. 10. The phone system for the county elections office remained out of service Thursday.

Thornhill ruled that Miller’s mailing violated a “clear directive” from Iowa Secretary of State Paul Pate, who told county officials in July that absentee ballot request forms mailed to voters must be blank in order to ensure uniformity…”
